Jill Hennessy

The Edmonton native is with Irish, Italian and Swedish heritage, and also French Ukrainian French and Swedish. Jacqueline is the twin sister of her and an actor. Jill could speak several languages during her growing years. These included Italian, French, and Spanish. After she turned twelve years older, Jill began her journey into being an actor. When she was in Toronto, she began her professional career as an actor in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers. She played an escort alongside her twin sister. When she began studying improv with Deb Kimmet in Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. Two years later, she moved back to New York and signed a contract for the role of the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the long running hit series, Law & Order. For the duration of her 3 year stint and beyond, she spent her time acting in feature films such as RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1994), and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). In the following years, she was offered roles in some forgettable films, but in 1999 she landed a starring role on the television miniseries uremberg with Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York, Exit Wounds and other major productions would follow. In 2001, she landed the role of the main character in the crime-themed NBC series Crossing Jordan and in 2007 she took home a Gracie Allen award as "Outstanding Female Actress in the drama Series" due to her role in the series. She got married in 2000 to the actor who played her Paolo Mastropietro. The couple has two children. In 2007 she was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame. Jill Jill Jill Jill Jill
