LeBron Raymone James Sr., born 30th December 1984, is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). Nicknamed King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful players of all time and is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James has won four NBA Championships as well as the four NBA MVP Awards and Four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He is also the proud owner of the distinction of having two Olympic Gold Medals. James scored more points during the playoffs, has had the second highest number of career points, and has the seventh-highest number of career assists. James is a member of 18 NBA All-Stars and 18 All-NBA Teams and Five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. He was the 3rd player to participate in NBA Finals. Eight of these were consecutive between 2011 through 2018. In 2021 James was named to make the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 became the first player to ever in NBA history to rack up at least 10,000 career points in rebounds and assists. James played basketball for St. Vincent St. Mary High School, which is located near his hometown of Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hypnotized by media. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the first pick of the NBA draft in 2003. After being named 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, he quickly became a top player within the NBA receiving the NBA's MVP award both in 2009 and 2010.
